Police issue B.O.L.O in early morning shooting

Update May 22, 2021, 12:20PM: Demarco Griffith (20) turned himself into authorities and has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault. He's been booked into the Forrest County Jail.

Authorities are still searching for Dominez Williams (26) as part of the ongoing investigation.

Arrest Made in Pineview Apartment Shooting

The Hattiesburg Police Department arrested Johnnie Williams, 25, of Hattiesburg around 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday night on charges in connection with a shooting at 1500 Country Club Road, Pineview Apartments earlier in the evening. Williams is charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of tampering with evidence.

The spring semester has been a busy one for 30 renewable energy engineering students at Forrest County Agricultural High School. Over the course of the semester, teacher Matthew Seal led the class through the planning and construction of three sets of solar panels.

Hattiesburg High plans for traditional graduation ceremony

More than 200 Hattiesburg High School seniors will be able to walk across the stage at graduation ceremonies this year because of lowered COVID restrictions on in-person gatherings. The ceremony will be on May 28 at the University of Southern Mississippi’s Reed Green Coliseum.
