Hattiesburg Futbol Club product Amber Fortenberry signed her National Letter of Intent on Thursday with Ole Miss.

“I’m super thankful,” Fortenberry said. “I’m super excited to get there and get on the field. I’m super thankful for my coaches, my family, my teammates for getting me to where I am.”

Rivals FCAHS, Purvis face off with playoffs on the line

Both Purvis and Forrest County AHS find themselves in similar must-win situations.

Last week’s 35-7 loss to Poplarville deepened Purvis’ hole in region play with an 0-3 start. FCAHS was off to an 0-2 start, but with Sumrall having to forfeit last week, it put the Aggies in the hunt for the playoffs.

FCAHS in need of momentum; Sumrall looking for third win

Sumrall and Forrest County AHS find themselves in two different starts to region play.

FCAHS dropped its second game in a row after being shut out by Greene County 27-0. The Aggies’ pain is an opportunity for Sumrall to move to 3-0 in region play and stay tied for first place after opening the year 0-4.

FCAHS finally opens season, prepares for region opener

Forrest County Agricultural made a triumphant return to the football season after having to shut down due to COVID-19.

The Aggies finally dominantly opened their season as FCAHS defeated Northeast Jones 31-6.

COVID-19 delays Forrest County AHS football season

Unlike many schools in Mississippi, Forrest County Agricultural High School will not be playing its season opener this week.

According to Athletic Director and football coach Brad Calcote the team is forced to delay the season because of COVID-19 protocols.
