WCU wins SSAC Championship

MONTGOMERY – No. 12 William Carey University captured the 2018 SSAC Men's Basketball Tournament Championship defeating Dalton State, 83-76 in the title game at the Cramton Bowl Multiplex in Montgomery.

Saturday’s win was the Crusaders second SSAC Tournament Title with the last coming in 2014.

HATTIESBURG – No. 8 William Carey softball showed no effects of a 10-day layoff as it swept Mississippi University for Women in non-conference action at Joseph & Nancy Fail Field.

In Game 1, Carey (5-1) put the game away in the second inning as it rolled to a 7-3 win.
