New Normal: HAPA unveils last large scale mural of 2020

The Hattiesburg Alliance for Public Art (HAPA) unveiled its final project for 2020 on Dec. 17, adding to the extensive public arts collection in the Hub City.
“New Normal,” designed by Hattiesburg artist Andrea Kostyal, is the ninth large-scale mural completed by HAPA this year.

Roberts Company planning two more Corner Markets

The Roberts Company, a Hattiesburg-based grocery store chain, is updating the Sunflower grocery store on Hardy Street to be a Corner Market.
Mike Sowden, chief operations officer for the company, said the grocery store is getting a much-needed face lift.

Tex-Mex concept El Rayo opens this week

Hattiesburg Arts Council to host amateur photography competition

The Hattiesburg Arts Council is planning to host their annual amateur photo competition from 2 to 4 p.m. on Jan. 16 at the Hattiesburg Cultural Center on Main Street.
The competition is open to children and adults to enter and provides the community with a venue to showcase their photography skills.
