Gabe Watson, the Southern Miss men’s basketball leading scorer, entered the transfer portal on Friday.
Watson made the announcement on Twitter on Friday.
“First and foremost, I want to thank God for the opportunity to play for USM,” Watson wrote. “I appreciate every one of the coaches for the impact they have had on me. Especially (assistant coach Clarence Weatherspoon), for recruiting me. I appreciate my teammates for the effort they in along with me during every game. I have enjoyed playing for USM these last two season but I have decided to enter the transfer portal to further my career.”
