Returning as an in-person road race after being held virtually in 2020, the Hattiesburg Half Marathon provides fundraising opportunities for 13 participating Pine Belt nonprofits.

Special to The Pine Belt News / The Workforce Education department at Pearl River Community College offers, among other classes, training as a certified clinical medical assistant. A number of these classes are offered locally at the Woodall Center on Sullivan Drive in Hattiesburg. The department, funded with a mix of state and federal funds, also helps local businesses with training needs.
