The Krewe of Elks held their 56th Mardi Gras Ball on February 11 at the Hattiesburg Elks Lodge #599. This year’s theme was A Walk to Remember.
King Elk LVI, John Michael Monroe Compton, Sr. was born in Sardis, MS in 1961. He attended school at South Panola High School. Mike moved to Hattiesburg in 1983.
