ELLISVILLE – Following two impressive victories to start the season, the Jones College Lady Bobcats are rated No. 14 in the first NJCAA Division I regular season soccer poll.
Head coach Dolores Deasley’s Lady Bobcats defeated East Central 4-0 in the opener on Aug. 24 and followed that up with an 8-0 decision over Northwest on Aug. 27.
Jones opens MACJC South Division with a 5 p.m. game Friday at Mississippi Gulf Coast. The game will air on https://livestream.com/MGCCCBulldogs/events/8356435.
Eastern Florida tops the poll, followed by Tyler (Texas). Phoenix (Arizona) is third, followed by Daytona St. (Florida) and Navarro (Texas).
Jones plays at Tyler on Sept. 22.
The only other MACJC team in the rankings is Holmes at No. 16.
