Kevin Weldon and his wife bought a business late in 2022 with the goal of increasing quality in-home senior care in our area. He says, “Since we began with Senior Helpers of Hattiesburg, we have been blessed to grow our service area to over 15 counties in South Mississippi. Through our business we have been able to provide thousands of hours of care per week to those in need in our community and provide hundreds of meaningful careers. Today I serve as the Director of Operations for our company, and we provide care to more than 100 clients and employ more that 175 employees.”
Kevin serves on the board for Disentangle AD, an organization that helps families with loved ones battling Alzheimer’s and Dementia and is a member of the Marketing Professionals for Senior Living Group. He tells us, “This year our company provided more that 150 Thanksgiving meal bags to our caregivers and the community, and we participated in the end of the year “Christmas of Caring Event” which brings our community and clients together to ensure that every client that we serve receives a special gift.”
Kevin believes that a successful leader must understand and have experience in all facets of their business and credits his success to the fact that he leads by example and leads with passion and compassion. He says, “I believe that we have been blessed to be able to not only acquire Senior Helpers back in 2022, but to be able to grow as much as we have in the past three years…I am passionate about what we do, and I don’t take any of these opportunities to lead or serve for granted.” Kevin’s biggest business successes over the past year have been buying a building in Hattiesburg and opening a second territory in Gulfport.
