PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition has been filed by Terry Jackson, Jr., Applicant, and Tony Garino, LeHigh Hanson, Inc., Owner, as required in the Land Development Code, Ord. No. 3209, to close and vacate a portion of the alley, which located north of East Hardy Street between Oak Street and a vacated portion of Magruder St. (Parcel 2-030L-11-138.01, PPIN 20306, Ward 2) Said property being more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
The North 255 feet of a platted 10 foot wide public alley located in Block 4 of the R. A. Magruder Subdivision, in the City of Hattiesburg, County of Forrest, State of Mississippi, as per Map or Plat thereof on file in the Office of the Chancery Clerk of said County and State, and being more particularly described as Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot 10 in said Block 4 of the R. A. Magruder Subdivision at the South right-of-way of Jersey Street, thence run South along the West right-of-way of said platted alley along the East line of Lots 10, 9, 8, 7 and 6 in said Block 4, thence run East for 10 feet to the East right-of-way of said platted alley and to the Southwest corner of Lot 15 of said Block 4, thence run North along the East right-of-way of said platted alley along the West line of Lots 15, 14, 13, 12 and 11 in said Block 4 to the Northwest corner of Lot 11 of said Block 4 and to the South right-of-way of Jersey Street, thence run West along the South right-of-way of Jersey Street for 10 feet back to the Point-of-Beginning. The above described portion of said public alley to be vacated contains 0.06 acres, more or less.
A PUBLIC HEARING in relation to the above described petition will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2020 in the Jackie Dole Sherrill Community Center, First Floor, Hattiesburg, Mississippi, before the Planning Commission of said City, at which time and at which hearing all parties of interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard.
