The Hattiesburg Saenger Theater and the City of Hattiesburg will host the inaugural HattiesBARK Pet Parade and Block PAWty Saturday, March 2.
Proud pet parents are encouraged to get ready for a fun filled afternoon of “pawsome” entertainment. Guests are invited to join in viewing a parade of pets, enjoy games, and delicious treats with their pets.
Pet lovers are encouraged to dress their pals in fun and creative attire to compete in a costume contest. Bonus points will be given to those who coordinate matching costumes with their animal companions.
Other activities include a pet trick competition, pet pools for swimming and more. All friendly pets are welcome and must be leashed, crated or appropriately restrained at all times. Attendees are required to clean up after their pets.
The gates open at the Saenger Theater at noon with a Pet Parade Kick-off at 1 p.m. A trick competition will be held at 2:30 followed by a costume contest at 3:30.
