The August 8 primary election in Lamar County was pretty straightforward, with the most contested race being for District 1 Constable.
The following is a list of results of local elections – including supervisor, constable and other offices – with some races necessitating runoffs, if neither of the candidates received the necessary 50 percent of the vote plus one vote.
The winner of the Republican and Democratic primaries will face off against each other in the November 7 general election, in addition to any independent candidates in the race.
If necessary, the runoff election will be held August 22.
