Allison and Ken Crumpton won the big prize at the United Way 100K Giveaway on March 15.
Sponsored by the United Way of Southeast Mississippi, the annual competition is one of the organizations largest fundraisers.
The Crumptons were on vacation, but they tuned in to the drawing live-stream on Facebook. They said they were shocked when the annoucer read their name.
The Crumptons responded to the news on Allison’s Facebook page with pictures of them celebrating.
“Just your typical Tuesday night . . . winning 100K while away on Spring Break,” reads the post. “Thank you United Way of Southeast Mississippi!!! Needless to say, we are pumped! We’ve never one anything before.”
Representatives from the United Way said they will be releasing more information about the Crumptons and the results from this year’s giveaway fundraising efforts later in the week.
