Ahead of the parade rolling on Saturday, October 29, the Avenues Alliance announces its court for the 10th Avenues Halloween Parade to include Southern Miss Baseball Coach Scott Berry and the City of Hattiesburg’s Chief Administrative Officer Ann Jones.
For 2022, Berry will serve as the Grand Reaper, and Jones will serve as the Pumpkin Queen.
Paul Sims, president of the Avenues Alliance, said the organization is honored to feature two great Pine Belt citizens in this year’s parade.
“It is an exciting time to live in Hattiesburg. Both Coach Berry and Ann Jones have made significant contributions toward that momentum,” said Sims. “We invite everyone to Saturday’s parade to show appreciation for their great work. This is a super fun event for the whole family.”
The parade will roll on Saturday, October 29 at 5:30 p.m. It will depart from Parkway Heights United Methodist Church at South 24th Avenue, proceed east on Hardy Street through the Avenues and end at South 13th Avenue.
