During the month of June, 92.1 FM WJMG, a locally and minority-owned radio station, will feature interviews with several high-profile actors, writers and musicians on its Stage, Style and Study radio talk show. The show, hosted by Michael Marks of Hattiesburg, airs every Friday at noon.
In this performing art series, guests will share their unique show business stories and provide great insight into the world of performing arts. Kicking off this series, on June 3, is actress and writer Denise Nicholas—known for Let’s Do It Again (1975), Room 222 (1969-1974) and In the Heat of the Night (1989-1995). The interview will include discussions on Nicholas’ acting career as well as a spotlight on her book Freshwater Road, a powerful and dramatic coming of age story set in Mississippi during the Freedom Summer of 1964.
“Every Friday in June gives listeners yet another chance to hear the incredible stories of figures like Ms. Nicholas, whose impressive acting career spans decades.” says radio show host, Michael Marks.
