During his time as the 34th mayor of Hattiesburg from 2001 to 2017, Johnny DuPree and his administration were instrumental in paving the way for the construction of the Hattiesburg Public Safety Complex, which now serves as the new home for the Hattiesburg Police Department and the city’s municipal court.
