Hattiesburg Police Department held its annual Holiday Shopping with Hometown Heroes event at Walmart on Highway 49 on Wednesday, Dec. 18. Five families from Hattiesburg were accompanied by officers through the store to complete their holiday shopping and provide other necessary items needed.

HPD asks for help identifying hit-and-run suspect

Hattiesburg Police Department is asking for help in identifying the suspect of a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Dec. 23 at approximately 6:45 p.m near the intersection of Highway 98 and Cross Creek Parkway. The suspect allegedly stuck a pedestrian before taking off.

Shop with a Sheriff makes spirits bright for Forrest County families

Forrest County Sheriff’s Office held its annual Shop with a Sheriff event at a local Walmart on Sunday. Partnered with Pinebelt Foundation and donations from various other organizations in the Pine Belt, the sheriff’s office was able to help over 50 Forrest County children with a shopping trip for gifts and other necessities.
