The government shutdown may have prevented service members from wearing their uniforms during Hattiesburg’s Veterans Day festivities, but that seemed to be all it prevented. From the annual parade to the solemn ceremonies at Veterans Memorial Park, the spirit of service, sacrifice and gratitude filled the streets- uniforms or not.
