In the municipal election held in Hattiesburg on Tuesday, republican candidate, LeAnne Van Slyke was elected councilwoman for Ward 3 with 64.8% of the vote. Democratic candidate, Keenon Walker, followed with 19.2% and the independent candidate, Joe H. Wiley, finished the race with 16%.
