Artist Jeff Koons created quite a commotion in 1994, when he displayed 20 large, gleaming sculptures he entitled, “Celebration." Koons envisioned the transcendence of ordinary objects into lavish symbols of joy and lightheartedness. Of all the sculptures Koons created, the “Balloon Dogs” became the most recognizable and popular.
