Southern Miss’ football season came to a disappointing end with a 28-18 loss in the Sun Belt West title game Saturday afternoon. But as first-year head coach Charles Huff noted afterward, the Golden Eagles’ season is not over. At 7-5, Southern Miss will return to its first bowl game since 2022.
