Southern Miss point guard Trinity Rowe has entered the transfer portal.
Rowe was named the Sun Belt’s Freshman of the Year after averaging 7.1. points per game, 2.6 assists and 2.1 rebounds. The point guard led all freshmen in the conference in assists and 3-pointers.
The move comes after longtime Joye Lee-McNelis announced her retirement at the end of the season. According to a source, the next coach is expected to be announced next week.
Rowe is the second Lady Eagle to enter the portal, and Jacorriah Bracey opted to transfer days earlier. Bracey averaged 10.9 points and 6.7 rebounds in the 2023-24 season but did not play this season and opted to take a medical redshirt.
