A panel of Associated Press state sports writers and editors, including Camal Petro of PineBeltSPORTS, vote in the Mississippi’s AP High School Poll.
The Hattiesburg Tigers have climbed to the No. 2 spot of the Overall AP Top 10 this week. Their opponent this week, the Oak Grove Warriors remain at No. 9, setting up a clash between Top 10 teams.
The Tigers hopped West Point as the top team in 5A after West Point lost to Starkville last week, which is ranked No. 1 in state. The Warriors did not crack the Top 5 in the 6A poll.
The Lumberton Panthers moved up as well, checking in at No. 2 in the 1A poll.
