BREWTON, Alabama – Top-ranked Jones County Junior College rallied for a 5-4, eight-inning victory over Coastal Alabama-East here Thursday afternoon in game one of a doubleheader.
In game two, the Bobcats rolled to a 10-3 decision.
The Bobcats, 4-0, return home for a noon doubleheader on Saturday against Mineral Area College (Missouri). The games will air on www.jcjc.tv.
The Warhawks, 1-4, host Bevill State (Alabama) on Saturday.

JCJC trailed 4-2 entering the top of the seventh inning of the scheduled seven-inning contest.
Trace Henry (Mooreville) was hit by a pitch and Luther Woullard (D’Iberville) reached on a fielder’s choice to start the inning. Henry would later score on a Stephen Matthews’ (Tupelo) single and Woullard scored on an error to tie the game.
The Bobcats scored the go-ahead run in the eighth when Henry singled and would later score on a passed ball.
Bryce Fagan (Petal) retired the side in order in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Fagan pitched the final two innings and got the win, allowing no hits and striking out two.
Starter Jay Simpson (Presbyterian Christian School) went four innings, allowed four runs, six hits, walked one and struck out two. Grayson Livingston (Wayne Academy) pitched 1.2 innings, allowed no runs, 3 hits, walked one and struck out one. Payton Harris (Oak Grove) pitched .1 inning and got a strikeout.
Luke Hudson (Presbyterian Christian School) tripled and singled, while Matthews doubled and singled and Henry singled twice. Hudson Harris (West Jones), Tate Pepper (Ocean Springs) and Robbie Woody (Madison Central) added singles.
Hunter Reeves homered, doubled and singled for the Warhawks.
Dalton Rone was charged with the loss.
The Bobcats scored twice in the top of the first, but the Warhawks would respond with three runs in the bottom of the inning. Coastal Alabama-East took a 4-2 lead in the third.

JCJC pounded out 14 hits in game two.
Cooper Brune (Ocean Springs) led the way with a double, two singles and two RBIs. Brandon Hale (Pontotoc) doubled and singled with Hudson Harris and Woody each getting two singles. Woody also drove in two runs.
Henry and Matthews each had doubles with Hudson, Jake Mason (West Lauderdale) and Woullard adding singles. Hudson also drove in two runs.
Tyler Spring (Stone) was the starter and winner. He went three innings, allowed one run (unearned), one hit, struck out four and walked five. D.J. Alexander (Gretna, Louisiana) pitched three innings, allowed no runs, two hits, walked one and struck out two. Luke McKenzie (Columbia Academy) pitched an inning, allowed two runs (both unearned), two hits, walked one and struck out three.
Jacob Snellgrove was the starter and loser for Coastal Alabama-East.
The Bobcats led 1-0 after one inning, 2-1 after two, 3-1 after three and 5-1 after four. JCJC scored five runs in the top of the seventh to take a 10-1 lead.
