Hattiesburg is once again hosting an NCAA tournament regional as Southern Miss was selected to be one of the 16 host schools.
The NCAA announced the host locations on Sunday evening.
It’s the third time since 2017 that the Golden Eagles have hosted and fourth time program history. The last time Southern Miss hosted was back in 2022, which later featured the program reaching its second-ever Super Regional.
The entire 64-team field for the 2025 NCAA Baseball Tournament will be released on Monday at 11 a.m. CT on ESPN2.
Southern Miss is 44-14 overall and ranked No. 19 in the latest RPI rankings. The Golden Eagles also hold a 25-5 home record.
In-state rival Ole Miss will also host a regional along with fellow conference foe Coastal Carolina.
Others hosts include Vanderbilt, Georgia, Auburn, Texas, LSU, North Carolina, Clemson, Oregon State, Oregon, Arkansas, Tennessee, UCLA, Vanderbilt and Florida State.
