Southern Miss has cracked the top 15 in the latest polls.
The Golden Eagles went 4-0 this past week after earning a win over ranked Ole Miss, which moved up from No. 18 to No. 15, followed by a weekend sweep of Louisiana-Monroe.
In the latest D1baseball.com rankings, Southern Miss (18-6, 5-1 Sun Belt) jumped from No. 19 to No. 13. The Golden Eagles also reentered the Baseball America rankings at No. 23.
According to warrennolan.com, the Golden Eagles’ RPI (rating percentage index) stands at No. 32.
In the D1 rankings, the Sun Belt featured Troy (18-6) moving back up from No. 25 to No. 22, while Coastal Carolina fell out of the rankings.
Southern Miss will face Nicholls State in Biloxi at Keesler Federal Park on Tuesday before returning home to host South Alabama for its weekend series.
