Hattiesburg attorney and Republican candidate for the state senate, Anna Rush, coordinated with Equinox Coffee in Hattiesburg to present “Coffee with a Candidate” Friday morning.
“I’m running for the new Senate district,” said Rush. “Most of Hattiesburg got redistricted, and I’m running for the downtown district. So, what we’ve been doing is trying to go to different local coffee shops on every other Friday morning and have a way for people to meet me. I can listen to them, and they can ask me questions and get my name out there. I also want to listen to the needs of Hattiesburg and all the different people that are in Hattiesburg and also frequent all of our coffee shops, especially downtown. There’s been a ton, so it’s a good way for me to help promote small businesses while also getting to know people.”
