Raanes & Oliver Capital Advisors is pleased to announce the promotion of Kelsey Addison McCarty to Branch Manager. McCarty passed the Series 9 and Series 10 exams last fall, earning her the promotion. In doing so, McCarty has become one of the youngest branch managers within Raymond James Financial Services at 29 years old.
McCarty’s journey with Raanes & Oliver Capital Advisors started in 2019 as a Client Service Associate to the team. She was later promoted to Director of Investor Relations. Early in 2023, McCarty passed her Series 7 and 66 exams to become a Financial Advisor in which she focused on financial planning to help clients achieve their financial and retirement goals.
McCarty, a native of Hattiesburg, graduated from Oak Grove High School before getting her associate’s degree from Jones College, as well as a bachelor's degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of Mississippi.

Kelsey and her husband Michael McCarty live in Oak Grove with their dog, Cooper and are expecting their first child in the fall. McCarty is an active volunteer with veterans organizations and serves as co-director of the YANKY 72 Memorial Committee. Her family attends The Church at 4-Points and are proud supporters of Ole Miss and Southern Miss athletics, where you can catch them at a game on most weekends.
This June, Raanes & Oliver Capital Advisors will celebrate 40 years of serving the Pine Belt. McCarty will continue working alongside fellow Financial Advisors Duane Raanes, Brady Raanes, and Kent Oliver, as well as Client Service Associate, Eldrika Keys.
