NOTICE OF SCHOOL LANDS
FOR LEASE FOR HUNTING
AND FISHING RIGHTS
The Board of Education of the Lamar County School District hereby gives public notice in compliance with Mississippi Code Ann. § 29-3-41 (1972), that the Board shall receive sealed bids for the leasing of the hunting and fishing rights only on the following designated lands classified by the Board as forest lands located in Lamar County, Mississippi, and being under the jurisdiction of the Board:
All of Section 16, Township 3 North, Range 16 West, Lamar County, Mississippi Containing 640 acres,
The bidding form is available at the Office of the Lamar County School District Superintendent of Education at 424 Martin Luther King Drive, Purvis, Mississippi, 39475 during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m Monday through Friday. Said tract will be leased for a five (5) year period. A sample lease copy is also available for public inspection at the Office of the Superintendent.
Sealed bids shall be received up to, but no later than, 3 o’clock p.m. on September 14th. Said bids shall be opened and publicly announced at the Board of Education meeting on September 14th , at 6:00 p.m.
The Lamar County School District Board of Education hereby reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids so received and also the right to waive irregularities not in violation of state law.
