Alumni of Pearl River Community College can help share their love of The River with future generations through the new Legacy Tour option. Parents and grandparents can bring their child or grandchild on a tour of campus, gifting them with a special Legacy Pin to place on the future Wildcat.
Executive Vice President for Enrollment Management Candace Harper recently brought her eldest son, Parker, onto the Poplarville Campus for a Legacy Tour. She earned her associate's in applied science in Business and Marketing Management Technology in 2003.
"Through the Legacy Tour, alumni of Pearl River Community College pass down more than memories — they inspire the next generation of Wildcats by walking the campus together, sharing the stories that shaped their journey, and placing a Legacy Pin to mark the beginning of a future rooted in pride, tradition, and love for The River,” said Harper. “After all, who better to share the legacy of PRCC than those who have lived it."
Kyle Stockstill of Picayune came to The River as a legacy student.
“The option to take a Legacy Tour and be pinned by a family member is an exciting opportunity for future Wildcats,” said Stockstill. “As a legacy student myself, I would have loved to hear the stories and see the experiences of my parents and siblings who came before me.
Students who participate in a Legacy Tour get a chance to hear their family members stories, helping Pearl River feel even more like home!”
Booking a Legacy Tour is easy. Visit the Office of Recruitment booking page, select the campus you want to visit, fill in the information requested, and select ‘yes’ when asked if either a parent or grandparent attended PRCC.
