Carol Hickman
91, of Hattiesburg
Graveside services were held Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Highland Cemetery for Carol Hickman, 91, of Hattiesburg. She died on May 28 at Alden Pointe.
Mrs. Hickman was a graduate of Hattiesburg High School and Stephens College. She worked as a legal secretary and was administrative assistant to Rep. Trent Lott, managing his Hattiesburg office, and later working in the Jackson office for Sen. Lott until her retirement.
She was a longtime member and a former elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She served our community as a member of the Hattiesburg Junior Auxiliary.
Mrs. Hickman was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Harrison Praytor and Mary White Praytor; her sister, Beverly Praytor Owens; a granddaughter, Chelsey Currie; and her beloved husband of 53 years, Harry Hickman Jr.
She is survived by five daughters, Mary Currie Dryden (Steve) of Hattiesburg, Joan Currie Clark (Steve) of Brooklyn, Beverly Kay (Kitty) Currie Hopper of Petal, Sandy Hickman Holland (Robert) of Leland and Laura Hickman Hollister (Stevens) of Madison; one son, Jim Currie (Cindy) of Madison, South Dakota; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
