Rebecca McGaugh (63), of Lumberton, passed away on June 28, 2023. Burial is in Grantham Cemetery, and Moore Funeral Service handled arrangements.
Richard Hunt (84), of Hattiesburg, passed away Saturday, July 1, 2023 at Bellevue Assisted Living.
A gathering of friends will be held Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 10 – 12 at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg.
Mr. Hunt attended Main Street Baptist Church. Before his retirement he was the Vice President of Bank of Hattiesburg and the owner of Kawasaki Motorcycles. He enjoyed gardening, Saints football, the LA Dodgers, and entertaining people with his jokes. Most of all, he loved spending time with his girls.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Alice Hunt and his wife, Nelda Shoemake Hunt.
He is survived by two daughters, Amy Hunt Bynum (Stan) and Alice Hunt Rainwater (Timothy); two granddaughters, Alice Caroline Bynum and Anna Leigh Bynum; and several nieces and nephews.
The family has requested that remembrances be made in the form of contributions to Bellevue Assisted Living Activities Fund.
