Gloria Jean Odom Ward (80), of Petal, passed away on July 13, 2023 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 18, at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg. Burial is in Highland Cemetery.
Mrs. Ward was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Ward worked in the banking industry for 30 years and retired in 1998 as the manager of University of Southern Mississippi Credit Union.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee L. and Jo Pearl Odom; her sister, Eleanor Stone; and a great grandson, Grant Riley Ward.
She is survived by her husband, Willie C. Ward of Petal; her daughter, Cindee Skelton (Tony) of Gautier; her son, Willie Allen Ward, Sr. (Rhonda) of Temple, TX; four grandchildren, Willie Allen Ward, Jr. (Kayla) of Temple, TX, Katye Henry (L.J.) of Madisonville, LA, Lacey Hall of Temple, TX, and Laura Penny (Britt) of Covington, LA; ten great grandchildren; a brother, Hal Odom (Teresa) of Petal; and numerous nieces and nephews.
