Yvonne Bowen (94) originally from Queensland, Australia, lived in Hattiesburg, MS from 1964- 2023 and more recently living in Atlanta, Ga with her daughters, passed on Friday, January 10, 2025.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Dr. Richard L. Bowen. She is survived by her daughters Cynthia Bowen (Atlanta), Fiona Bowen (Atlanta), son Chris Bowen (Hattiesburg) and his wife Lisa Tyner Bowen (Petal). In Australia, she is survived by her sister, Julia Curr-Parkes, brother, Laurence Bowman (Susan).
Hattiesburg residents may have crossed paths with Yvonne (Bonne) through her career as a Registered Nurse at Forrest General and South MS Home Health, which she retired from. She enjoyed classes and functions with OLLI in retirement and her lifelong friends through her British Commonwealth Wives Club.
