Rev. Keith R. Hagenson (86), of Purvis, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Asbury Hospice House. Interment is in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, and Moore Funeral Service handled arrangements.
Rev. Hagenson dedicated his life to selfless service and spreading the word of God. For over 50 years, he faithfully served as a Methodist Minister. His commitment to his faith was unwavering. He was an active participant in various charitable organizations. Serving on the boards of Edwards Street Missions, Asbury Foundation, and the Methodist Hospital, where he also served as President. He embraced his calling to serve others and he left a mark on the communities that he touched. Rev. Keith was very determined.
He enjoyed working and fixing things himself. He enjoyed woodworking, farming and gardening. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He passed his commitment to service work to the generations that followed him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Sally Hagenson; his sister, Karen Conyers; his niece, Pam Conyers; and his daughter-in-law, Dina Bridges Hagenson.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Janell Hagenson of Purvis; his children, Joey Hagenson of Purvis, Ricky Hagenson (Shona) of TN, and Lynn Steele (Mickey) of Purvis; his grandchildren, Thomas Bridges of New Hebron, Carter Bridges of New Hebron, Ryan Hagenson (Christin) of TN, Stacey Hagenson of TN, Kristen Steele of Purvis, and Kerri Steele of Purvis.
