VIDEO: Driver collides with Amtrak train on highway 11
At approximately noon on October 30, a woman was injured when a car and a train collided at the intersection of U.S. 11 and Chappell Hill Road in Petal. Surveillance footage from a nearby business shows that the the woman driving the car attempted to drive around the crossguards, which were down and over the railroad tracks at the time of the incident. The woman was sent to a local hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
