Elementary students at the Petal School District gathered in memory of one of their classmates as a part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Last year, the Petal Board of Aldermen passed a resolution designating Sept. 11 Toni Marino Day in the City of Petal.
Toni was a Petal student who died months ago after battling cancer.
