Charity Ball fundraiser to benefit local children/families set for Oct. 26By STAFF REPORTS,
Junior Auxiliary of Hattiesburg’s annual charity ball fundraiser is set for Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Hattiesburg Country Club. The event, which raises money to directly benefit local children and families through community projects, begins at 6 p.m. Event tickets are $100 per couple and include appetizers and a meal. The public is invited to attend.
“JA of Hattiesburg’s mission is to provide support to area children and families in need through various community service projects,” said Brooke Paladichuk, JA of Hattiesburg finance chair. “We aim to raise $100,000 to meet these core needs, and JA Charity Ball is a wonderful way to invite the community for a fun evening out for a great cause.”
Last year, JA of Hattiesburg reached more than 2,000 individuals through its project work, with chapter members donating more than 4,000 volunteer hours. Chapter members work with local schools, food banks, diaper banks, special needs groups, and other various advocacy organizations throughout the year to support their active service projects.
In addition to event tickets, JA of Hattiesburg created packages for sponsorship opportunities for its fundraiser. These sponsors are currently showcased on JA of Hattiesburg’s Facebook page and will also be highlighted at the evening event.
Numerous items have also been donated for the event’s silent auction presented by Pine Belt Chevrolet, which will be available for purchase at the event.
“We have received great feedback from our sponsorship packages, and we are incredibly thankful to the many businesses and organizations that have stepped up to help fund our community projects this year,” Paladichuk said. “We are getting closer to our fundraising goal, and we are looking forward to hosting a full house at this year’s Charity Ball”
Chapter projects include Family Affair, Food for the Soul, Kids Culture, Abbie Rogers Civitan Camp Carnival, Pine Belt Diaper Bank, Wardrobe Warehouse, Smart Art, Special Olympics, Lamar Co. Roll and Read, Rock A Bye Moms, Pennington’s Night Out, Dubard Design, Crown Club, Bags of Hope, Welfare, and Children’s Center Play the Same.
