Petal High School students are preparing for the annual Beauty and Beau Pageant, which will be held Sept. 14 and 15 at 7 p.m.
This year’s theme is “A Star-Studded Evening.”
The Petal High School Speech and Debate team will host the 46th Annual Beauty and Beau Pageant in the Petal Performing Arts Center. The team will be introduced, as they have worked hard to put the show together.

Eight beauties will be selected each evening.
Contestants will be judged on beauty and overall presence, which consists of poise, posture, modeling, facial expression and the fit and appropriateness of their dress.
On Sept. 14, the freshmen and sophomores will compete. On the following evening, the junior and senior pageant will take place.
The ladies will not be the only ones to take the stage in competition. Also featured in the pageant are 10 beaus elected by the student body. They are selected from the junior and senior classes evenly.
Male contestants will be compete for the title of Most Handsome of their class.
