Those wishing to be part of the best teaching team in the state are invited to take part in a Job Fair, hosted by the Lamar County School District.
The event will be held from 3-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at the district office, Jefferson Todd, 424 Martin Luther King Dr., Purvis.
Teachers who are interested in working in Lamar County for the 2019-2020 school year need to submit a job fair registration form and an online application for certified employment which can be found on our district website www.lamarcountyschools.org.
Applicants who submit a registration form will receive a confirmation email indicating their time for a 10-minute interview with the grade level principals they have chosen on the form.
These interviews are not for specific openings. They are designed to give principals an opportunity to meet potential candidates for future openings. As positions open, candidates will be called back for an interview with a committee at the school level.
Candidates are asked to bring multiple copies of the following to the job fair:
· Resume’
· Recent photo
· Current Mississippi Educator License or evidence that you will have an educator license before Aug. 1.Registration is limited. Once all time slots are full, no other applicants will be accepted. Registration deadline is Jan. 22
