Asma B. Khader, MD, and Subodh Adhikari, MD, recently joined Hattiesburg Clinic Hospital Care Service, providing care to patients in the hospital.
Khader received her medical degree from the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan. She completed an internship and residency at UIC/Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
Khader said her goal as a hospitalist is to make a positive impact on the health of her patients.
“I enjoy having the opportunity to help my patients,” she said. “I chose this field because it enables me to use my knowledge to create a positive change in a person’s life.”
Adhikari received his medical degree from the College of Medical Sciences in Bharatpur, Nepal. He completed an internship in internal medicine at Western Reserve Health Education, Inc. and Northside Regional Medical Center in Youngstown, Ohio.
He completed his residency at East Tennessee State University, Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tenn.
Adhikari said his goal within his practice is to improve the value of inpatient care overall.
“Growing up in a medically underserved nation inspired my decision to become a physician,” said Adhikari. “I enjoy making a positive impact every single day.”
