Hattiesburg Police investigators are seeking the public’s assistance with two different shootings here in the Hub City.
On Tuesday, officers responded to the 600 block of West 4th Street in reference to a shooting around 6:30 p.m.
According the reports, an individual walked to the service station at the corner of Hutchinson and West 4th Street, claiming they had been shot in the foot.
As the investigation progressed, it was learned that the shooting happened near Vicker’s Circle and Abrams Street.
No other information was given regarding that incident.
Last Wednesday, Feb. 13, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 200 block of Martin Luther King Avenue just before noon.
One male was injured in the shooting, and was transported from the scene by AAA Ambulance.
No one is in custody at this time, but the incident is considered an isolated domestic incident stemming from an apparent altercation between a current and ex-boyfriend of a female.

In an unrelated case, police are also asking for the public’s help in locating a person of interest in an ongoing robbery investigation.
Chad Dawkins, 46, of Hattiesburg, is considered a person of interest in a Tuesday, Feb. 5 robbery in the 1300 block of Main Street.
