Downtown Hattiesburg has a storied past, present and future. This Christmas season, the Downtown Hattiesburg Association is offering its second Haunted History Walking tour, the “Ghosts of Christmas Past,” as a part of “Olde Tyme Christmas” celebrations Dec. 8.
Tour takers will take a step back in time to visit the legendary spirits that make up the history of Hattiesburg while hearing about people and places that shaped the city.
Tours will depart from the Downtown Visitors Center at 207 East Front Street in the America Building every 30 minutes beginning at 6 p.m. This guided walking tour will highlight various locations in central downtown and feature authentic era attire and a cast of characters from the Hub City Players.
The tour will last approximately 55 minutes and include hot chocolate or cider, a sweet treat, and optional adult beverages for purchase. Tickets are $18 for adults and $8 for children ages 6-12.
