Compassus recognizes Leah Salisbury as local volunteer

By STAFF REPORTS,

During National Volunteer Week April 7-13, Compassus is recognizing Leah Salisbury, a student at the University of Southern Mississippi, for providing companionship and support to hospice patients and their loved ones in Hattiesburg. Salisbury has been making a difference as a Compassus volunteer since September 2017.

“Leah goes above and beyond to offer peace and comfort to those facing life-limiting illness,” said Gerry Richards, executive director for Compassus – Hattiesburg. “She is always willing to help, even at the last minute, and spends the majority of her free time with our program. Leah demonstrates our mission of ensuring patients and families spend their remaining time together creating meaningful moments and lasting memories.”
