Get ready black-and-gold fans. The 24th annual Eagle Fanfare is right around the corner.
The event, which will run from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Thad Cochran Center on the USM campus in Hattiesburg, is hosted by the Southern Miss Alumni Association, in conjunction with the Department of Athletics and Alumni HUBs.
Southern Miss fans have already flocked to Jackson and Biloxi for kickoff parties and now it’s time for the hometown crowd.
These events are used to kick off the 2019 Golden Eagle football season. Fans can expect to meet athletes, hear from coaches, take photos with Seymour and much more.
Admission is $5 per person or $20 per family (limited to parents and children only). Food and drinks will be available for purchase. A cash bar will be available.
Tickets are available at SouthernMissAlumni.com/Fanfare2019 or purchase tickets at the door. Proceeds from this event benefit the Pine Belt Alumni HUB Scholarship.
“While our Golden Eagle football team prepares for the 2019 season, alumni and fans can make their own preparations during these annual summer alumni events,” said Jerry DeFatta, executive director of the Southern Miss Alumni Association.
“These events are the highlight of the summer for all Southern Miss fans and provide a one-stop-shop for securing season football tickets, purchasing new Southern Miss apparel and meeting coaches and key players. During this year’s events, we look forward to providing additional activities for kids and additional benefits for active members of the Alumni Association, while providing fans an opportunity to support student scholarships.”
