Three students recently graduated from the Pine Belt Works Manufacturing Skills (Basic Level) program at Pearl River Community College.
The program, funded through Twin Districts Workforce Area, is designed to provide foundational level manufacturing training to meet an employer’s hiring needs. Work ethics, communication, conflict resolution and problem solving are included in the training.
Additionally, all Pine Belt Works graduates are certified in CPR/ First Aid and OSHA 10-hour safety.
The three graduates are William Langley of Lumberton and Caleb Graham and Wyatt Green, both of Hattiesburg.
Jennifer Jackson, Pine Belt Works instructor, praised the graduates for achieving their goals.
“From teamwork and communications aspects, these students knocked it out of the park,” said Jackson. “The industry tours we took spoke volumes to these students. Those visits made a big impact. They all had job interviews before they left the program.”
