40 under 40: Raanes recognized by Investment News

Brady Raanes, CFA, CFP, CMT, was recently named to the InvestmentNews 40 under 40 list, which recognizes advisors from national, regional and independent firms. Raanes is currently the director of Investment Strategy at Raanes Capital Advisors and a Financial Advisor with Raymond James Financial Services. He is the first Mississippian to earn this distinct recognition.

“I consider it an honor to be recognized as one of only forty individuals in the country,” Raanes said. “To be Mississippi’s first representative in such an elite group is humbling.”

Raanes was honored at the 40 Under 40 Awards Ceremony on May 7 in New York City.

Each year Investment News recognizes 40 industry professionals under the age of 40 based on factors including a proven track record of accomplishment, contribution to the industry, leadership and promise. More than 1,000 nominees were considered and 40 were chosen to receive the award. The nominations are read and vetted by an internal group of editors and reporters at InvestmentNews. The ranking may not be representative of any one client's experience, is not an endorsement, and is not indicative of an advisor's future performance. Neither Raymond James nor any of its financial advisors pay a fee in exchange for this award/rating. InvestmentNews is not affiliated with Raymond James.

Raised in the Pine Belt, Raanes graduated from Oak Grove High School and the University of Southern Mississippi. He and his wife, Christen, have two sons. Raanes currently serves as the president of the Pinebelt Foundation.

Raanes Capital Advisors manages more than $140 million in client assets, offering clients a broad scope of experience and asset management resources.
