Merit Health Medical Group welcomes Robert Watson, D.O., to the new primary care clinic in Purvis, and Joshua P. Hand, M.D. to the primary care clinic in Sumrall.
Watson joins Merit Health Medical Group after most recently serving as a family practice physician at Anazia Medical Clinic in McComb and at Copiah Medical Associates in Hazlehurst.
Watson received a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Mississippi and attended medical school at University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Mo. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Assoc. and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians.
Hand comes to the Sumrall clinic from Merit Health Medical Group in Petal. He is a graduate of Mississippi College and attended medical school at University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson.
He completed a residency in Family Medicine at New Hampshire Dartmouth at Concord Hospital in Concord, N.H. Hand is Board-Certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians.
