Ambassadors host Senior Senior Prom at Bedford Care

It was a time for boutonnieres, corsages and fancy attire — and not just for high schoolers. The residents of Bedford Care in Petal were treated to their own senior prom organized by the Petal High School Ambassadors with help from the Cosmopolitan Club of Petal.

It was an opportunity for seniors to socialize, have fun and engage with their community.

For the students, they had an opportunity to listen, learn, and appreciate the contributions of the residents. Not only did they visit, but they also “cut a rug” with the seniors and gave a performance of some popular line dances to the delight of the residents.

Caleb Rogers and Kyra Lampley gave impromptu solo performances for the attendees.

The Petal High School Ambassadors are sponsored by the Petal Area Chamber of Commerce and the Petal Education Foundation. The PHS Ambassadors are a small group of students dedicated to the positive promotion of Petal High School. They work on a number of projects which serve as liaisons between the school district and the community.
