The Nation's Weather for Monday, December 12, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Drying conditions are expected for most of the Northeast
tomorrow. While a few rain or snow showers may still be
moving offshore in the morning in New England, and some
lake-effect snow flurries may fall downwind of Lake Erie,
most places should stay dry. With ample moisture moving off
the Gulf of Mexico, a few severe thunderstorms are possible
in north-central Texas and western Oklahoma. Locally
damaging winds, hail, and a tornado are all possible, with
rain continuing northward across the Plains states. In the
West, periods of rain will continue in Southern California,
with snow spreading through most of the Rockies. Even at
lower elevations, enough cold air will be in place for
minor accumulations.
